Tiffin City Schools administrator dies unexpectedly at age 49

Tiffin, Ohio — A Tiffin City Schools administrator died unexpectedly Tuesday, the district announced.

In a message sent to staff and families Tuesday afternoon, TCS said 49-year-old Scott Daniel, who served as the district’s director of operations, had passed away.

“We learned one of our own colleagues, Scott Daniel, died unexpectedly this morning at Tiffin Mercy Emergency room,” the announcement stated. “Our entire district is impacted by this loss. Scott was a graduate of Tiffin City Schools as well as a longtime employee.

“As always, we thank you for your assistance and support. The family would like to thank emergency responders and the staff at Tiffin Mercy Hospital for their exemplary care. Please be there for one another and keep his family and our school staff in your thoughts and prayers.”
