Long-standing Tiffin restaurant announces imminent closure

Tiffin, Ohio — In a Facebook post on Saturday, the management of TJ Willies, a local favorite, shared the regrettable news of their imminent closure.

The establishment is slated to conclude its operations on Sunday, August 27th.

TJ Willies remained open until 9 p.m. Saturday night, giving patrons a last chance to savor their dishes. On Sunday, its closing day, the restaurant will welcome guests until 7 p.m.

“Please stop by and get your final meal at TJ Willies. Help us go out with a bang,” the Facebook post states.

The previous owner of the restaurant, Doug Dunlap, sold it to the current owner, Jesse Short, in early 2022.

“We have been struggling for months,” the restaurant stated in the comments section of its Facebook post.
