Tiffin-Seneca Public Library’s Summer Reading Program takes off with exciting events
Tiffin, Ohio — The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is gearing up for an exciting lineup of events as part of their 2023 Summer Reading Program. From live animal shows to interactive movie nights, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
On Thursday, June 29, the library will host two thrilling live animal shows titled “Animal Magic” in the Adult Reading Room. Renowned animal educator Mark Rosenthal, from Animal Magic, will captivate the audience with his exotic animal friends. Combining education and imagination, Rosenthal’s shows provide a unique learning experience about various animals. The shows will take place at 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., offering attendees two opportunities to witness the awe-inspiring performance.
The Youth Services Department invites children and their families to “Adventure Thursday: Woodland Animals” on the same day, June 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Frost Kalnow Room, providing a space for exploration and creativity. Crafts, activities, and more will be available for preschool and elementary students, encouraging their love for the great outdoors.
Teenagers are in for a shadow puppet challenge on Tuesday, June 27, at 3:00 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. The Teen Department has prepared an engaging activity for teens entering grades six through 12. Participants will have the opportunity to create shadow puppet characters and develop an accompanying story. Snacks will be provided, ensuring an enjoyable and creative afternoon.
For families seeking a unique movie experience, the Youth Services Department will host an “Interactive Movie Night” on Monday, June 26, at 5:00 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. The Library will screen a family movie that revolves around a girl with long hair, adding an extra level of excitement by incorporating interactive instructions and props. Popcorn and snacks will be provided, and a special prize will be raffled off at the end of the evening.
