Seneca County Sheriff’s Office executes search warrant in alleged child exploitation case

Tiffin, Ohio — The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Tiffin Police Department Detectives, executed a search warrant Tuesday at 952 E. Township Road 122, Clinton Township, Seneca County. The targeted residence belongs to 43-year-old Leo H. Pickar IV.

The search warrant, signed by Judge Jay Meyer of the Seneca County Common Pleas Court – Juvenile Division, was obtained based on allegations received from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (OICAC).

The evidence discovered during the search aligns with charges of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

In a statement, Sheriff Fred Stevens emphasized the significance of the joint effort between law enforcement agencies. “The collaboration with other law enforcement agencies throughout Seneca County, including state and federal task forces was instrumental to the success of this investigation,” Sheriff Stevens said.

No further details were disclosed at this time, as the investigation remains active.
