Tiffin’s annual fishing derby returns for young anglers
Tiffin, Ohio — The City of Tiffin Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting its annual fishing derby on Saturday, June 3.
This event is open to all children and teens ages 17 and under, and will take place at The Izaak Walton League of America, located at 3570 N. CR 33 in Tiffin.
Registration for the event will open at 9 a.m. on the day of the event, and the derby itself will begin at 9:30 a.m. All participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles and bait for the two-hour catch and release style fishing event. At 11:30 a.m., lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be awarded at noon.
Tiffin Recreational Operations Manager Mason Correll had this to say about the event: “This is one of the best family events of the year. Make sure you don’t miss it!”
