Tiffin, Ohio — The Tiffin Community Foundation (TCF) is proud to announce its upcoming 40th anniversary celebration, recognizing four decades of dedicated service to the Tiffin community.

Established in 1983 by Attorney Charles D. “Bud” Hering, Jr., with invaluable assistance from Warren Kahn of Fifth Third Bank, TCF has grown to become a cornerstone of philanthropy and community support, effecting positive change for numerous individuals and organizations in the area.

Throughout its 40-year journey, the Tiffin Community Foundation has experienced remarkable growth and currently oversees more than 100 funds, totaling approximately $30 million in assets. This enduring success speaks volumes about the unwavering support and generosity of donors within the community. Thanks to their contributions, TCF has been able to award over $15 million in grants, scholarships, and support, catering to a diverse range of causes and empowering individuals, families, and community initiatives.

To commemorate this significant milestone, the Tiffin Community Foundation has announced plans to host a celebratory event on October 10, 2023, at the esteemed Ironwood restaurant. The event will be open to the public, bringing together community members, donors, partners, and stakeholders to pay tribute to the Foundation’s accomplishments and reflect on the positive impact it has made over the years.

As part of the anniversary celebration, the Tiffin Community Foundation is launching the “Forty Dollars for Forty Years” campaign. This initiative aims to inspire community members to contribute $40 or more, symbolizing the Foundation’s 40 years of unwavering service. The funds raised through this campaign will further fortify TCF’s ability to address the evolving needs of the community and provide continued support.

In addition to the campaign, the Tiffin Community Foundation takes great pride in sponsoring various community events throughout the year, each one showcasing the Foundation’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community. Notable events include “Kidchella” at Cherry Alley during Downtown Tiffin’s 3rd Thursday on June 15th, Fête de la Musique. This family-friendly event encourages children to embrace their creativity and passion for music while exploring various musical instruments.

Another anticipated event is the East Green Concert on July 15, paying tribute to Every Child to Dream Big Dreams. Tiffin native Regina Sayles & Friends will be featured in this inspiring concert. Additionally, from September 15-17, the Heritage Festival, hosted by Tiffin Women in Action, will offer a variety of children’s activities at JAM’s located on Madison and Jefferson Streets.

Mayor Dawn Iannantuono expressed her appreciation for the Tiffin Community Foundation’s 40 years of dedicated service, saying, “The Tiffin Community Foundation has been an invaluable partner in our community’s growth and development. They have consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the lives of our residents, supporting local initiatives, and fostering a strong sense of community. We congratulate them on this significant milestone and look forward to their continued positive impact in the years to come.”

The Tiffin Community Foundation extends an open invitation to all community members, supporters, and partners to join them in celebrating their 40th anniversary and honoring the achievements made possible through the collective efforts of the Tiffin community.
