Fox News announced on Monday that Tucker Carlson, the controversial conservative commentator, has parted ways with the network. In a statement, Fox thanked Carlson for his service as a host and a contributor.

“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” a press release from the network said.

According to the network, Carlson’s last show aired on Friday.

Fox News also announced that it would be airing “Fox News Tonight” at 8 p.m. starting Monday evening. The show will be hosted by rotating Fox News personalities until a permanent replacement for Carlson is named.

Carlson, who had been with Fox News for over a decade, has been the subject of numerous controversies during his tenure. He has been criticized for his inflammatory comments on issues such as race, immigration, the Jan. 6 insurrection, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
