Tiffin man charged with sexual battery

Tiffin, Ohio — 35-year-old Cody M. Hossler, of Tiffin, was arrested on Friday and charged with sexual battery, a third-degree felony.

According to a press report from the Tiffin Police Department, Hossler’s ex-girlfriend called police at approximately 9:47 p.m. Thursday to report that Hossler was allegedly communicating with her 13-year-old daughter after being told not to.

Hossler was advised by TPD not to have contact with the juvenile, per his ex-girlfriend’s request.

At approximately 12:16 a.m. Friday, TPD received another call stating that Hossler had allegedly sexually assaulted the juvenile at his Melmore Street apartment.

Hossler is currently being held at the Seneca County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

He was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 28 at 10:30 a.m.
