Seneca County Health Commissioner Anne Goon fired
Tiffin, Ohio — In a surprising move, the Seneca County Board of Health has voted to terminate the contract of Health Commissioner Anne Goon, effective immediately.
The decision was made during a regular meeting held on Thursday, where six out of seven board members present voted in favor of the termination.
On behalf of the Seneca County Board of Health, Dr. Clay Wolph, the board president, and Dr. Zachary West, the board vice president, thanked the staff of the Seneca County General Health District for their commitment to the organization and for their efforts in assisting with the transition to new leadership.
Despite this change in leadership, the Seneca County Board of Health expressed its continued commitment to preventing disease, promoting wellness, and protecting the environment for the residents of Fostoria, Tiffin, and Seneca County.
Further details regarding the reasons for Goon’s termination were not immediately available.
