Tiffin City Schools selects Ryan W. Cook as new treasurer pending board approval
Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin City Schools has announced Ryan W. Cook as the next district treasurer, pending school board approval on March 27.
Board President Dr. Meagan McBride expressed the board’s enthusiasm in bringing Cook on board as an integral part of the district. McBride also highlighted Cook’s 20 plus years of experience and expertise.
Cook previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations for Bucyrus City Schools for a decade, where he gained experience not only in school finance but also in small business ownership. Additionally, he currently serves as Board President of Ridgedale Local Schools and board director for a credit union.
The treasurer search for TCS was conducted by the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center (NCOESC), which was proposed by NCOESC Superintendent Brenda Luhring during Tiffin City’s January board of education meeting. The board unanimously approved NCOESC to manage the search at no cost to the district.
From a pool of more than a dozen candidates, Cook was selected as the top choice for the position. He expressed his excitement in being part of the Tiffin community and Tiffin City Schools.
“Tiffin is a wonderful community. I got my MBA at Tiffin University. Tiffin City Schools is heading in a great direction and I’m excited to be part of that,” Cook said in a statement.
