Seneca County General Health District releases 2022 annual report
Tiffin, Ohio — Seneca County General Health District has recently released its 2022 annual report, which highlights the organization’s activities and achievements for the year.
The report features year-end statistics from each section, including Environmental Health, Fiscal, Health Planning & Promotion, Nursing, Vital Statistics, and Women, Infants & Children (WIC).
According to the report, the Environmental Health section conducted numerous inspections in 2022, including 184 inspections at Sunny Farms Landfill.
Meanwhile, the nursing section administered a total of 5,054 vaccines and investigated 492 communicable diseases, excluding Covid-19.
In WIC, an average of 933 women, infants, and children were served every month in 2022, while the Vital Statistics section recorded 826 births and 541 deaths. Heart diseases were found to be the leading cause of death in 2022.
Seneca County Health Commissioner Anne Goon expressed her satisfaction with the report, stating, “I’m proud to report that while we continued to respond to COVID-19 over the past year, we also improved how we operate and serve our local residents.”
