Fostoria couple killed in Wood County crash

Fostoria, Ohio — Two Fostoria residents lost their lives in a single-vehicle crash in Wood County early Saturday morning.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at approximately 5:34 a.m. on State Route 199.

The authorities reported that Rodney Reiter and Bette Reiter were in the vehicle that went off the roadway, striking a culvert and then a tree. Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the accident.

The Pemberville Fire and EMS, along with Howard’s Towing, provided assistance to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office at the crash site.
