Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin’s Architectural Board of Review has given its stamp of approval to the first three downtown Façade Enhancement Grants of the year in a meeting held on Tuesday, March 7. The program, which has been a huge success and won several awards, has now entered its tenth year.
The board granted $9815.00 to Jac & Do’s storefront for the renovation project located on the corner of Melmore and S. Washington Street at 283 S. Washington Street. Jan Valentine, the property owner, expressed her satisfaction with the grant, saying “We’ve been in this building for 53 years. The Façade Grant helped encourage us to get our project going.”

Lee’s Floor Covering received the third grant for the replacement of its awning at 263 S. Washington St. The grant amount awarded to Lee’s Floor Covering was $5839.50.
Mayor Dawn Iannantuno said, “I’m glad to see continued interest in the Facade Enhancement Program and that there are property owners investing in their historic buildings.”
