Tiffin City Council approves appointment of Nick Dutro as city administrator
Tiffin, Ohio — The Tiffin City Council has approved Mayor Dawn Iannantuono’s appointment of Nick Dutro to serve as the city’s next administrator.
Dutro, who currently serves as the Director of Communication and Constituent Services, will assume his new duties on March 13. He will work alongside outgoing City Administrator Dale Thornton, who will use his compensatory time before his April 1 retirement date.
“Nick is always ready to help me, and his knowledge and background will be an asset to us. He has been indispensable these past few months, and I know he will do an excellent job as city administrator,” Mayor Iannantuono said.
Dutro joined the City of Tiffin in January 2022 as its first Director of Communications and Constituent Services. Prior to that, he worked as the Economic Development Manager at Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership and as a reporter and editor at The Advertiser-Tribune.
“I have had an incredible experience thus far in my role with the City of Tiffin, and I look forward to taking on this new challenge and further serving our residents,” Dutro said.
With Dutro’s appointment, the city will soon begin accepting applications for the position of Director of Communication and Constituent Services. For more information, see the city’s website here.
