The Seneca County Veterans Services Commission is continuing to honor all Seneca County Vietnam veterans in conjunction with the Vietnam 50th Anniversary Commemoration. The event will honor veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975, regardless of location.

The commission invites Vietnam veterans who currently reside in Seneca County to attend the dinner with a guest. The event will take place on March 29th at the “Marion Peck” American Legion Post 295, 211 Smith St., Green Springs, OH 44836. The social hour is scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m., and dinner will follow at 6 p.m.

If interested in attending, veterans may contact Sarah at the Seneca County Veterans Services office at 419-447-2885 or email sencosarah@bright.net to make a reservation. There will be no cost for veterans, widows, or guests.

When contacting the office, veterans are advised to provide their name, address, dates of service, and branch in which they served. The commission may also ask for a copy of the veteran’s DD-214.

The event is part of a nationwide effort to honor and recognize the sacrifices of Vietnam Veterans. The Seneca County Veterans Services Commission is committed to providing support, assistance, and advocacy to Seneca County’s veterans and their families.
