Kendra’s Cakes expands business with new location in Bascom

Bascom, Ohio — Kendra’s Cakes, a local bakery that specializes in cakes, cookies, and cupcakes, has come a long way from its beginnings as a home business in 2011. Kendra’s Cakes recently moved to a newly renovated building in Bascom to accommodate the business’s growing demand.
Kendra Foos, the owner and founder of Kendra’s Cakes, expressed her excitement about the expansion.
“This has gotten bigger than I expected,” Foos said in a press release from Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership. “I’m so happy that we’ve been able to expand to this location. Bascom is a great place to be, and I’m excited to continue growing here.”
Kendra’s Cakes offers walk-in customers a selection of desserts on Wednesdays through Fridays. Foos and her dedicated staff also produce custom orders for special events and prioritize the highest quality products available, according to the release.
Seneca County Board of Commissioners President Anthony Paradiso praised Kendra’s Cakes and other rural businesses for being an integral part of the community’s economy. “The small businesses in our villages are an important part of maintaining our communities and economy,” Paradiso said in the release.
Looking towards the future, Kendra’s Cakes plans to increase the variety of desserts they offer for customers. “We’re looking forward to being able to offer more for people looking for local options,” Foos said.
Kendra’s Cakes is located at 695 N. SR 635 in Bascom, Ohio, and is now open for business.
