FPC Memorial Trust awards $50,000 matching check to Transformation Life Center
Tiffin, Ohio — The Memorial Trust of First Presbyterian Church has announced a $50,000 matching check to be awarded to the Transformation Life Center, an organization that provides emergency housing for women and children in Seneca County.
The award was made possible thanks to the generosity of Tiffin churches, individuals, businesses, and groups such as the Sisters of St. Francis, Allen Eiry Senior Center, Pan Yan Bookstore, Sutton Bank, Croghan Bank, Heidelberg University, JAM’s Monthly Markets, the Red Envelope Campaign, the Ugly Sweater Christmas Party, and unsolicited grants.
The Transformation Life Center provides comprehensive services to help women and children move from dependency to independence. Clients receive a needs assessment that identifies strengths, gaps in services, and client-driven goals. From there, an individualized service plan is created to link clients with the appropriate community partner to assist with their needs. The center provides life skills and budgeting classes, along with personal development, vocational training, substance abuse counseling, interpersonal skills building, community involvement, leisure activities, and independent living skills.
The Memorial Trust of First Presbyterian Church is proud to be a partner in the Transformation Life Center’s mission to empower women and children in Seneca County. The matching check will provide additional resources for the center to continue its important work.
