Fostoria, Ohio — The Fostoria Police Division arrested Kevin Crowe, a 27-year-old man from Bowling Green, Ohio, in an online child predator sting operation on Friday.

Officer Kyle Reinbolt led the investigation resulting in Crowe’s arrest for attempted sexual conduct with a minor and importuning.

The investigation was conducted within a day, leading to Crowe’s arrest. A Lake High School track coach ID was found on his person, and it’s yet to be confirmed whether he is affiliated with the said school, according to police.

In a press release, the Fostoria Police Division made it clear that they will continue to conduct these operations irrespective of the sentencing imposed by the courts. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that these individuals are brought to justice with the best possible case presentation. While the courts follow specific guidelines set by the Ohio Revised Code, the department’s primary goal is to bring these criminals to public attention and register them as sex offenders.

The department further clarified that these crimes against children are not confined to Fostoria but are happening across the country. Officer Reinbolt has honed his investigative skills to ensure that these operations can be successfully conducted in the Fostoria area, according to the release.

The Fostoria Police Division aims to eliminate these predators from children’s lives or, at the very least, inform the public of their presence. With the rise of challenges facing children in society, the department’s efforts to curb crimes against children remain critical.

Anyone with information regarding crimes against children is encouraged to contact their local police department to ensure children’s safety.
