Local attorney John Kahler announces candidacy for Tiffin City Council
Tiffin, Ohio — John Kahler, a local attorney, has announced his candidacy for one of the at-large seats on Tiffin City Council in the May 2023 primary election.
Kahler, who graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1987, holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Miami University and a law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He has been practicing law in Tiffin for 27 years and has served as the president of the Seneca County Bar Association, as well as an officer of the Tiffin Elks Club and a member of the Bridges Academy Board and the Ritz Players Board.
In addition to his professional and volunteer experience, Kahler, a lifelong Tiffin resident, is also involved with the Ritz Theatre, having acted in over a dozen productions at the Ritz. He and his wife Jennifer, who is also an attorney, own and operate Kahler & Kahler Law, LLC. They have two daughters, Sagan, who attends Cleveland Marshall Law School, and Jacqueline, who attends the Columbus College of Art and Design.
Kahler says that he decided to run for city council because of his love for Tiffin and Seneca County and his desire to contribute to the community.
“I love Tiffin and Seneca County, and I want to contribute to this community,” Kahler said. “I believe I have the temperament, patience, reasonableness, and knowledge to be a leader and help improve our wonderful city.”
Voters in Tiffin will have the opportunity to cast their ballots for mayor, city council, and other municipal offices in the May 2023 primary election. The top two vote-getters in each race will advance to the November general election.
