Seneca County Auditor to offer dog licensing in Fostoria on Jan. 13
Fostoria, Ohio — Fostoria residents will have the opportunity to purchase dog licenses at the Fostoria Learning Center on Friday, January 13.
Employees from the Seneca County Auditor’s Office will be selling the licenses from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the center located at 342 Perry Street.
Licensing your dog is required by state law and may help ensure that your pet will be returned if it becomes lost, according to a press release from the office of Auditor Julie Adkins. Deadline to renew without penalty is Jan. 31, 2023.
In addition to the opportunity to buy licenses at the Fostoria Learning Center, dog licenses can also be purchased Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Seneca County Auditor’s Office, 109 S. Washington St., Suite 2206, Tiffin. They can also be purchased online at the auditor’s website here.
Dog owners have the option of purchasing either one-year, three-year or permanent licenses. Fees for licenses will be $15.00 for one-year, $45.00 for three-year, and $150.00 for permanent licenses. Three-year and permanent licenses may only be purchased in the auditor’s office. Owners should be aware that the three-year and permanent licenses are not refundable in the event of the animal’s death or if the dog is transferred to a new owner.
Feel free to call the Seneca County Auditor’s Office at 419-447-0692 with questions concerning your dog license.
