Man seriously injured in US 6 crash: OSHP

Sandusky County, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred Sunday on US 6, near milepost 23, in Riley Township.

The crash was reported to the Sandusky Highway Patrol Dispatch Center at approximately 6:19 p.m.

66-year-old David Coleman, of Elmore, was operating a silver 2014 GMC Terrain eastbound on US 6.

Coleman failed to negotiate a curve, causing him to drive off the right side of the road. His vehicle then struck a culvert and overturned, according to OSHP.

Coleman was extricated from the vehicle by the Clyde Fire Department and was taken by Sandusky County EMS to Toledo St. Vincent Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Sandusky County Sheriff’s Office, Sandusky County EMS, Clyde Fire Department, and Grunden Towing.
