Police: Social media threat directed at Tiffin Middle School ‘not credible’
Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin City Schools said Monday that recent potential threats of violence directed at Tiffin Middle School and posted on social media have been deemed not credible by police.
In the early hours of Monday morning, Tiffin Middle School staff were notified about a potential threat that was posted online.
According to Tiffin City Schools, law enforcement was quickly notified, and they have determined that it is not a credible threat. Police will continue working with the district regarding the incident.
“While we do not believe there is any reason for alarm or concern, we want to ensure that parents are all informed,” the district said in a statement posted online. “School operations are running as normal today. If you have any concerns, please contact the district office.”
