Active shooter situation at Findlay High School found to be a hoax
Findlay, Ohio — A call regarding an active shooter situation at Findlay High School was determined to be a hoax Friday afternoon.
At approximately 1:21 p.m., the Findlay Police Department received a call of an active shooter situation at Findlay High School, 1200 Broad Ave.
Officers from the Findlay Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, and the University of Findlay Police Department responded.
The school was cleared, and it was determined that the call was a hoax, according to a press release from Findlay PD.
As a precautionary measure, officers remained on scene until the conclusion of the school day.
