Mansfield, Ohio — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash in Richland County.

Troopers say the crash occurred Monday on State Route 13 between Free Road and Noble Road in Bloominggrove Township at approximately 6:19 a.m.

33-year-old Charmeka Sherman, of Sandusky, Ohio, was driving a 1997 tan Buick LeSabre northbound when she drove left of center and struck a 2016 red Dodge Grand Caravan head-on in the southbound lane of traffic on State Route 13.

Troopers say the Dodge Grand Caravan was being driven by 37-year-old Brian Hall, of Wakeman, Ohio.

Both Sherman and Hall were pronounced deceased at the scene, according to troopers.

CB&S Joint Fire Department/EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, and Valley Towing assisted at the scene.

State Route 13 was closed in both directions for approximately four hours, but is now open.

The crash remains under investigation.
