Ohio EPA announces public hearing regarding Sunny Farms Landfill
Fostoria, Ohio — A public hearing regarding Sunny Farms Landfill’s Draft Title V Air Permit to Operate will be held Thursday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at Stacy’s Place, 625 Plaza Drive, in Fostoria.
The hearing, which will be hosted by Ohio EPA, was requested by Seneca County General Health District. Ohio EPA has sole authority over air quality permits.
The Draft Title V Permit to Operate and this hearing are not related to the landfill’s request to expand.
At the upcoming meeting, Ohio EPA will give a short presentation about the Title V permitting process and the permit renewal, and will then answer questions from the public.
A public hearing will immediately follow, during which the public can submit comments on the record about the permit. Written comments on the draft permit must be received by the close of the business day on Sept. 25. Comments received after this date may not be considered a part of the official record.
