Where to celebrate Juneteenth 2022 in Tiffin
Tiffin, Ohio — There are multiple events taking place this weekend in Tiffin to celebrate Juneteenth.
Juneteenth is a holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans. Originating in Galveston, Texas, it is now celebrated annually on June 19 throughout the country.
The day was recognized as a federal holiday on June 17, 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law.

This will include the singing of “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” to commence the holiday. - Matinee Movie
Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Old Trinity Episcopal Church
Sit back and relax while watching a movie. Snacks and drinks will be provided. - Juneteenth Picnic
Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Frost-Kalnow Amphitheater East Green
Celebrate Juneteenth with food (please bring), music, readings, and face paintings on the East Green lawn.
