Tiffin man arrested after sending explicit messages to undercover cop posing as a minor

Tiffin, Ohio — A Tiffin man was arrested Wednesday following a months-long online chat investigation by local authorities.
The Tiffin Police Department and Fostoria Police Division conducted a search warrant Wednesday on a residence at 575 E. State Route 18, Apartment G2, in Tiffin.
While executing the search warrant, police arrested 24-year-old Marcus A. Blust, of Tiffin, who allegedly sent explicit online chat messages to undercover police officers posing as juvenile females.

During the search of the apartment, police confiscated electronic devices and storage devices that will be analyzed for any additional evidence for the investigation.
Blust was arrested on multiple felony charges including importuning, disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, and pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Blust is currently being held at the Seneca County Jail, and the case will be sent to the Seneca County Prosecutor’s Office for presentation to the grand jury.
The Tiffin Police Department and Fostoria Police Division were assisted in the search by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and the Seneca County Drug Task Force.
