Tiffin, Ohio — The Tiffin City Board of Education on Monday hired David Alvarado as the next Columbian High School principal.
Alvarado, who previously taught math at Columbian from 1998 to 2003, is replacing outgoing principal Forrest Trisler, who is leaving the post to take a new job as superintendent of Wynford Local Schools.
Alvarado currently serves as associate principal of Findlay High School, a position he has held since 2018, according to his LinkedIn profile. He was previously the superintendent of Hopewell-Loudon Local Schools from 2016 to 2018 and principal of Glenwood Middle School in Findlay from 2003 to 2016.
Alvarado holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics education and a master’s degree in education administration & supervision from Bowling Green State University. He resides in Tiffin with his wife Jeanine.
