Findlay woman seriously injured in semi rollover crash on I-75

Bath Township, Ohio — A Findlay woman was hospitalized with serious injuries following a semi rollover crash Thursday morning on Interstate 75.
According to the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:39 a.m. on southbound I-75 near Bluelick Road in Bath Township.
A 1996 Western Star semi-truck was driven by 50-year-old Kasey L. Moore, of Michigan City, Indiana.
Moore was southbound on I-75, went off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, and overturned in the roadway causing I-75 southbound lanes to be closed, according to OSHP. Two large metal coils were detached from the trailers.
Shortly after the crash, a secondary crash occurred when a 2017 Kia Sorento failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead, striking the overturned semi.
The Kia Sorento was driven by 26-year-old Cienna Pearl Kennedy, of Findlay. Kennedy was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital for serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say all parties involved were wearing their seatbelts.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Bath Township Fire and EMS, Perry Township EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, Minich’s Towing, and Blake’s Towing.
