Fostoria, Ohio — Sunny Farms Landfill in Fostoria is looking to become Ohio’s largest landfill.
WIN Waste Innovations, the owner and operator of Sunny Farms, has submitted a permit-to-install application that would allow an expansion to the north unit of the landfill.
The application was recently sent to the Ohio EPA, and if approved by the EPA, would increase the landfill’s allowable daily intake from 7,500 tons to 12,000 tons, making it the state’s largest landfill.
A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8 at 6 p.m. at Camden Falls Reception and Conference Center, 2460 S. SR 231, Tiffin.
The meeting will provide information about the proposed expansion and allow the public to ask questions and make comments.
