Tiffin man busted after fleeing cops in Findlay
Findlay, Ohio — A Tiffin man was arrested Friday evening after fleeing police officers in Findlay.
At 7:09 p.m., an officer with the Findlay Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Milton St. and Hull Ave. for a peeling tires violation.
The driver, 18-year-old Tayshaun S. Tucker, of Tiffin, allegedly failed to stop for police and a short pursuit ensued.
Tucker’s vehicle was unable to maintain control in the 700 block of Carnahan Ave. and left the roadway before striking a posted sign and coming to a stop, according to police.
Police say Tucker then fled the vehicle along with an unidentified male passenger.
A foot chase occurred and Tucker was eventually placed into custody. The male passenger was located a short distance away and also arrested, according to police.
During a search of Tucker’s vehicle, a loaded firearm was found and seized by police.
According to police, both Tucker and his passenger were released on recognizance bonds, and charges are currently pending.
