Tiffin, Ohio — Administrators at Tiffin Middle School are working with police to investigate a concerning message sent Tuesday evening to some students.

According to an alert sent to TMS families around 8 p.m. Tuesday, principal Shawn Murphy said a number of students may have received the message through the social media app Snapchat.

“We are working closely with the police to investigate the matter and at this point believe there is no credibility to the message,” Murphy stated Tuesday evening.

The topic and/or contents of the message were not specified in the alert.

Murphy said school will be in session Wednesday, as normal, with an increased police presence on the TMS campus.
