Tiffin, Ohio — A Tiffin man was arrested Wednesday following an incident near Columbian High School.

34-year-old Gene Pancoast, of Tiffin, was arrested by the Tiffin Police Department for felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

The charge stems from an incident that occurred Wednesday around 12 p.m. on S. Monroe St., when the Tiffin Police Department responded to a report of a fight in progress across the street from Columbian High School.

Officers located one juvenile male, age 16, who was allegedly struck in face by Pancoast with brass knuckles.

The juvenile male had injuries to his face from the alleged assault, according to police.

Pancoast was incarcerated in the Seneca County Jail with a $300,000 bond, cash or surety only.

No other information was available as of Wednesday afternoon, including the juvenile’s identity.

The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed.
