DeMonte promoted to police lieutenant
Tiffin, Ohio — The Tiffin Police Department has a new lieutenant within its ranks.
Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz administered the oath of office Monday evening to Jake DeMonte, who prior to his promotion served as a sergeant within TPD.
“Lieutenant DeMonte has served our city admirably for a number of years, working his way through the ranks from an entry level patrol officer, to sergeant, and now as lieutenant,” Montz wrote in a Facebook post announcing the news.
“You may also remember Jake from his time as our K-9 handler, with officers Tommy and Andy. Congratulations Lieutenant DeMonte on your well deserved promotion!” Montz added.
