Tiffin University proudly presents ‘Christmas at The Ritz’ this weekend

Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin University proudly presents “Christmas at The Ritz” holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St. in Tiffin.

Tiffin University Choirs and Bands will be joined by the TU Dance Team, a cappella groups Up in the Air and Higher Ground, indie bands Behind the Times and Lost Intentions, hip hop group Culture Switch, funk band Word on the Street, and the Dragon Big Band, in an entertaining and eclectic program of family entertainment. The concert also features TiffinKidz, a new project by the TU Kids Choir.

“This concert is a rare opportunity for our friends of all ages to enjoy a fun family-oriented musical performance in the beautiful Ritz Theatre,” said Brad Rees, TU’s Vice Provost for Creative Arts Institute. “Proceeds from the concert go directly to charity, so we hope a great crowd will turn out in support of our holiday giving efforts.”

This is the sixteenth year that Tiffin University has held their annual holiday concert at the Ritz.  “This concert is the only chance some of our fantastic student groups get to perform in the beautiful Ritz Theatre,” said Rees. “The size and versatility of The Ritz allows us to feature not just our traditional choirs and bands, but also our ensembles that play in popular styles.”
