Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin Fire/Rescue Division crews battled a large scale structure fire Tuesday morning in Downtown Tiffin.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., a fire in the A+ Rentals building, 170 E. Perry St., was reported.

Crews were on scene for several hours, and E. Perry St. was closed between Circular and Jefferson Streets.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz thanked the Tiffin/Fire Rescue Division in a Facebook post Tuesday morning.

“Hats off to the members of the Tiffin Fire and Rescue Division who have been on scene battling the blaze since roughly 2:30 a.m.,” Montz wrote. “I also want to thank Fostoria Fire as well as Clinton and Bascom for their mutual aid assistance to help our crew with what turned out to be a very significant fire.”
