Tiffin, Ohio — A Tiffin man was charged Monday afternoon after police received a report of an individual acting erratically at Walmart.

According to the Tiffin Police Department blotter, officers were dispatched to Walmart, 2801 State Route 18, at approximately 1:35 p.m. on a report of a male in the grocery section who presented a “possible threat to himself and others.”

The man appeared to be intoxicated and was allegedly “flailing around, dropping down to a push up, coming up and clapping his hands,” according to the report.

Officers were informed the man, identified as 24-year-old Kyle F. Herron, was located directly inside the grocery entrance, where he was taken into custody.

An EMS squad was requested for Herron, who remained in the officer’s vehicle until medical crews arrived.
