Tiffin, Ohio — Your Legacy Federal Credit Union, the longest serving credit union in Seneca County with 69 years of operation, broke ground this week on an expansion of its building at 25 Shaffer Park Drive. The $1 million project is to grow the footprint of the existing property from 5,006 square feet to 6,341 square feet.

The expansion is needed to add additional offices and a conference room, as well as updating the lobby and member service representative line to make it more modern. After consolidating locations in 2019, Your Legacy Federal Credit Union moved existing staff to their 25 Shaffer Park Drive office. The expansion may allow for hiring of additional staff in the future.

JDH Construction of Tiffin is providing contractor services and Encompass Engineers and Architects Inc. of Findlay is the architect for the project.

President/CEO Derek Sidor said he is pleased that Your Legacy Federal Credit Union continues to improve. “I’m excited about this opportunity to expand our building and better serve our members. Our credit union grew $11,025,308 in assets from 2019-2020 with current total assets of $75,848,336, which shows the trust of our members in our services.”

Board Chairman Richard Wyka said, “I’m proud to be part of an organization that is continuing to strive for excellence and serve our members to the fullest.”

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz was excited about the announcement: “Congratulations to Your Legacy Federal Credit Union on your plans to expand your building and invest in our community. Tiffin continues to grow and is showing no signs of slowing down!”
