Police investigating after Fostoria 3-month-old found unresponsive, face down in bathtub

Fostoria, Ohio — Authorities have launched an investigation after a 3-month-old in Fostoria was reportedly found unresponsive and barely breathing, face down in the water in a bathtub.

On Tuesday, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding the child’s status.

Deputies and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, which was located at the Poplar Village Mobile Home Park, 12400 W. Axline St., Lot #297, Fostoria.

According to a news release from the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, that is the residence of Jozelynn M. Thomas and Jase S. Pinkston.

Upon the arrival of emergency personnel, the child was immediately transported to Fostoria Community Hospital and then transported by Life Flight to Toledo ProMedica, where the child is presently in stable condition, police said.

Seneca County Sheriff’s Office detectives and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Crime Scene Unit were called to assist with the ongoing investigation.
