Blessing Boxes donated to communities in Seneca County

Tiffin, Ohio — The 2021 Class of Leadership Seneca County have built 12 Blessing Boxes to be distributed throughout Seneca County.

The Blessing Box is an effort of neighbors helping neighbors by making non-perishable food and other items available to their neighbors in need. There are no stated guidelines, though all items should be new and in sealed packages. The Blessing Box is a no obligation zone. “Take what you need.  Leave what you can.”

One box will be placed in each of the communities of Attica, Bascom, Bettsville, Bloomville, Fostoria, McCutchenville, Melmore, New Riegel, Old Fort and Republic, and there will be two placed in Tiffin.

Suggested items for the Blessing Box include:

  • Canned food with ring-pulls
  • Socks
  • Mittens
  • Hand warmers
  • Crackers
  • Toilet paper
  • Non-perishable foods
  • Bottled water
  • Small snacks
  • Toiletries, including hand soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Baby wipes

Please, no alcohol or tobacco items.
