Findlay, Ohio — A Fostoria man was arrested early Saturday morning after a hit-skip accident in Findlay.
Police say 26-year-old Ty H. Ball, of Fostoria, was driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Howard St. when he struck the left rear end of a Chevy Silverado that was parked on the south side of the road at approximately 2:02 a.m.
The impact caused Ball’s vehicle to turn sideways and then roll over.
Ball then fled on foot westbound from the crash scene, according to police.
A witness was able to give an accurate description of Ball to police.
Officers later located Ball walking in the 600 block of Howard St.
After further investigation, Ball was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OVI). He was also cited with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to drive in marked lanes, and having no operator’s license, according to a news release from the Findlay Police Department.
Ball was treated by Hanco EMS on scene for cuts to his hands and face.
In addition to Hanco EMS, the Findlay Police Department was assisted at the scene by Dick’s Towing.
