Fostoria, Ohio — Authorities in Fostoria are warning of a “bad batch” of heroin and fentanyl in the area after three people died from suspected drug overdoses over the weekend.
“Obviously there is no good batch of heroin/fentanyl, but over the weekend the Fostoria Police Division responded to four suspected drug overdoses in four days,” the Fostoria Police Division wrote in a Facebook post Monday.
FPD says three of the overdoses were fatal, and all three were adults. Police suspect the overdoses were caused by bad street drugs.
“Our investigation is still ongoing and we will work hard to get to the bottom of this,” FPD said. “If you, or anyone you know is struggling with addiction please call the Crisis Hotline at 1-800-826-1306.”
