Tiffin, Ohio — The Seneca County Commissioners, under the advisement of the Seneca County Health Commissioner, have agreed to close all county offices to the public except by appointment. This is being done in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the community.

This is effective immediately and will be closed until further notice.

The closure, however, does not affect the operations of the Courts of Common Pleas, Juvenile and Probate Court, Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, or the Legal and Title Departments of the Clerk of Courts.

As of late Thursday afternoon, Seneca County had 1,155 cases of COVID 19 with 280 of those cases being active.

22 deaths have occurred and 28 people are hospitalized.

The county was moved to the Red Advisory level on Thursday as determined by the Ohio Public Health Advisory System indicators.
