Findlay, Ohio — A motorcyclist led Findlay police officers on a high-speed pursuit Friday evening.

At 9:35 p.m., an officer attempted to stop a motorcycle after it almost wrecked and did a burnout at Old Stoney Ledge, 752 Howard St., Findlay.

The driver of the 1996 Harley Davidson took off at a high rate of speed, and the pursuit went from Howard St. to Defiance Ave., eventually ending up on Anna St. before the pursuit was terminated after the officer lost sight of the motorcycle near the intersection of W. Melrose Ave. and Anna St.

The speeds of the motorcycle were estimated to be in excess of 100 miles per hour.

After additional investigation, several bar patrons identified the suspect as William K. Jeakle.

The motorcycle was located at Jeakle’s address, 812 W. Main Cross St., but he was not there. The motorcycle was impounded and charges are pending on Jeakle.
