Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin City Schools announced Friday that for the week of Nov. 16-20, grades PreK-5 will continue to have face-to-face learning, while Columbian High School and Tiffin Middle School students will continue with remote learning.

The district initially announced the move to remote learning for high school and middle school students last week amid a spike in the number of students being quarantined due to COVID-19.

Students are required to be online with their teachers from nine to noon daily, with Friday being a flexible learning day.

Assignments given for Fridays must be completed by the following Monday.

As of Thursday, Nov. 12, Tiffin City Schools is reporting 13 active confirmed student cases of COVID-19 and five active confirmed staff cases.

276 students and 10 staff are in quarantine, according to the district’s COVID-19 data dashboard.
