Columbian High School, Tiffin Middle School moving to remote learning beginning Nov. 9

Tiffin, Ohio — Tiffin City Schools Superintendent James Grubbs announced Friday that Tiffin Columbian High School and Tiffin Middle School will move to remote learning beginning Monday, Nov. 9 through Friday, Nov. 13 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The district says this move will also reduce the number of students being quarantined.
Building principals will send out more information regarding expectations.
Students will be required to be online with their teachers from nine to noon daily, with Friday being a flexible learning day.
Assignments given for Fridays must be completed by the following Monday.
As of Thursday, Tiffin City Schools reported 171 students and seven staff in quarantine. There were nine active confirmed student cases of COVID-19 and two active confirmed staff cases.
