Three arrested after police respond to meth-fueled incidents at Fostoria motel Staff

Fostoria, Ohio — Three people were arrested Thursday afternoon after police responded to reports of disturbances and other incidents occurring at the Fostoria Motel.

Around 4:32 p.m., the Fostoria Police Division was requested to the Fostoria Motel for a disturbance involving two men and a woman, including an altercation.

Upon arrival, one man fled the scene, resulting in a vehicle pursuit throughout the city’s south side.

The man abandoned the vehicle and was captured on foot still attempting to flee along the southwest portion of Westgate Mobile Home Park on Lytle Street.

The man was eventually captured and identified as 28-year-old Storm L. Roberts, of Deshler, Ohio. His vehicle was impounded and police seized a knife, brass knuckles, and drug paraphernalia from him.

Police continued their investigation into the incidents at Fostoria Motel and K-9 Marley was utilized, finding drug paraphernalia and two other individuals.

Evidence was seized and sent to Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) for analysis. The incident appears to be involving methamphetamines and other drug issues still under investigation, police said.

While at the scene, two others were arrested: 39-year-old Robyn M. Lundy, of Fostoria, was arrested on a warrant out of Findlay Municipal Court; and 40-year-old Brian A. Steward, of Tiffin, was arrested for a parole warrant out of Toledo and a warrant from Bowling Green Municipal Court.

“My officers did a fantastic job at the scene, especially of capturing the fleeing individual without further incident. That individual could have really hurt or killed someone. We are all truly sick and tired of drugs being brought into our community and their destruction of so many people’s lives,” Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno said.
