Ohio reports 2,116 new cases of COVID-19, surpassing 200,000 total cases Staff




The Ohio Department of Health reported 2,116 new confirmed and probable cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Monday, above the state’s 21-day reported daily case rolling average of 1,917.

The batch of new cases brings the state’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 200,231.

11 additional deaths were reported Monday, bringing the state’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 5,217.

Hospitalizations are up by 140 compared to Sunday’s data, making for a total of 18,235 reported hospitalizations statewide.

Admissions to intensive care units are up by 37, with a total of 3,751 ICU admissions throughout Ohio.
