Pleasant Township, Seneca County, Ohio — The Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:12 p.m. on Township Road 76 north of County Road 34 in Pleasant Township.
23-year-old Julianna Reed, of Bellevue, was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram north on Township Road 76 when she drove off the left side of the roadway, striking a utility pole and overturning her vehicle.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Wilcox Towing.
Julianna Reed, who was wearing her seatbelt, suffered minor injuries and was treated on scene by North Central EMS.
15-year-old Anna Reed, also of Bellevue, was the front right passenger. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and sustained minor injuries. She was treated on scene by North Central EMS.
14-year-old Alena Reed, of Bellevue, was the right rear passenger. She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected causing fatal injuries.
Alena Reed was pronounced deceased at the scene and was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office by the Seneca County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation and alcohol and/or drug usage is not suspected at this time.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Green Springs Fire Department, North Central EMS, Seneca County Coroner’s Office, Ohio Edison and Wilcox Towing.
