Ohio reports 1,345 new cases of coronavirus, 50 additional deaths Staff

The Ohio Department of Health reported 1,345 new confirmed and probable cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Thursday, above the state’s 21-day reported daily case rolling average of 1,033.

The batch of new cases brings the state’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 127,112.

50 additional deaths were reported Thursday, bringing the state’s total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 4,226.

Hospitalizations are up by 89 compared to Wednesday’s data, making for a total of 13,663 reported hospitalizations statewide.

Admissions to intensive care units are up by 14, with a total of 3,003 ICU admissions throughout Ohio.

In Seneca County, the total number of cases stands at 384 as of Wednesday afternoon, the latest data available as of Thursday at 2 p.m.

46 of those cases are considered to be active while 325 are considered to be recovered.

13 people have died with COVID-19 in Seneca County, and there are five currently hospitalized.
